André Davey has been making noises since before his inception on this planet. Later in life, he began chugga-chugging through the world of theatre and has been snap, crackle and popping for over a decade. After a recent whoosh through Europe and Asia, he has creaked back into Canada and recently directed a booming Bikini Atoll by Niall O’Reilly in the inaugural Playwrights of Spring festival at Theatre Aurora. Prior to this explosion he blared a sizzling mounting of Pulp Fiction – Live! with Purple Octogon Theatre. Other memorable theatrical moments include: fire breathing in Norway, performing at Dalhousie University in Miss Julie, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Bacchae, and HamletMachine, not to mention (dun dun dun) In Cod We Trusted in Lunenburg, and the tortured (argh) revolutionary in the short film The Coldest World. Davey is currently scribbling his first book, having just completed John Lennon : The Truth, a screenplay on the legend’s life & bang! André is tickled pink to be buzzing with Triple Take Productions and to spring up at Alumnae Theatre as Syd Bellow in the Beautiful Lie Production that is Last Dance of the Dark Cloaked Avenger.
