Feel like taking in a comic mystery the night of September 11th or 12th? Come to the Village Playhouse to see a staged reading of R.J. Downes' new play, The Man in the Room Next Door".

"As a hapless cannibal chained up for your perversions and sentenced to be locked away, what do you do when you wake up alone in a strangely empty city, your captors gone, your mind drugged and memories of your life playing in front of your eyes like an 8mm family movie? You go out looking for food, of course.
Kevin Risk’s “The Incredible Vanishing Cannibal” is a succinct and entertaining tale that lets the reader into the mind of a man (no different than you or I, except for the fact that he enjoys human flesh) dealing with both his past, and a world gone wrong."
- R.J. Downes (writer - Last Dance of the Dark Cloaked Avenger, Without Whom, and more)
"...Wow. Once again, I totally get what you're saying. You really did your homework on the subject..."
- Allison McWood (writer - It Was Kit and The Aquarium)
"Nicely done. A neat little switch"
- Conor McCreery (actor - Sketch TV and Space Zombies)
"Ewwwwwww. Good, but ewwwwwwwwww."
- Andrea Lyons (actor - Space Zombies and Shakespeare's Brain)
